From the enchanting rose-scented nose to the dry cedar-filled finish, here is a flavor-filled wine that can comfortably take a seat at any table and make itself right at home. Zinfandel is known as primitivo in Italy and tribidrag in Croatia, and, as in the case here, sometimes these European roots reveal themselves in the form of an accent made charming by way of a buoyant lilt. Lively notes of fresh prune, blackberry, and candy stake their claim upon the plush palate, all of which is framed by a refreshing acidity. Soft tones of dill and sassafras round out the finish.
